Description

The capstone project for DDA256. Propose, design, and implement an ambitious self-directed creative coding project that synthesizes the theoretical frameworks and technical methods explored throughout the semester.

Project Tracks

  1. Interactive Installation / Instrument: A software system designed for live user interaction, performance, or sensory input.
  2. Generative Art Suite / Drawing Machine: An algorithmic artwork exploring complex emergence, mathematical simulation, or plotter output.
  3. Spatial 3D / Audio-Visual World: An immersive WebGL environment exploring spatial narrative, soundscapes, or procedural architecture.

Deliverables

  • Final deployed web application / sketch.
  • Complete, well-documented source repository on GitHub.
  • High-resolution video documentation (1080p, 1–2 minutes) and high-res stills.
  • 300-word critical project statement situating the work within historical and contemporary computational art.
