The capstone project for DDA256. Propose, design, and implement an ambitious self-directed creative coding project that synthesizes the theoretical frameworks and technical methods explored throughout the semester.
Project Tracks
- Interactive Installation / Instrument: A software system designed for live user interaction, performance, or sensory input.
- Generative Art Suite / Drawing Machine: An algorithmic artwork exploring complex emergence, mathematical simulation, or plotter output.
- Spatial 3D / Audio-Visual World: An immersive WebGL environment exploring spatial narrative, soundscapes, or procedural architecture.
Deliverables
- Final deployed web application / sketch.
- Complete, well-documented source repository on GitHub.
- High-resolution video documentation (1080p, 1–2 minutes) and high-res stills.
- 300-word critical project statement situating the work within historical and contemporary computational art.
